We have just spent a week with Andrew and Rupert and like all the other visitors We loved our stay with them. We did not hire a car and so relied on trains and taxis. They were so helpful and gave us so much information especially re restaurants that we would never have found without their knowledge of the area. We did of course sample Rupert's superb cooking and also had a meal with our hosts which was great fun. Their attention to detail when it came to service was faultless. Breakfasts in their absolutely gorgeous garden was such a treat for us as we have no garden in London. Thank you both for a lovely week. close-quote

Our third visit, unfortunately for only one evening, but at least we were to sample dinner (always a real highlight here). We can't imagine why anyone would want to stay elsewhere when visiting this part of the world. close_quote

During a holiday in Andalucia we popped across the border for a few days in Portugal, and we stayed at Casa Rosada. What a wonderful place! Huge airy bedrooms, furnished with incredible style, absolutely charming oasis of a garden, and cooking to die for. Castro Marim is a peaceful place with a lovely castle, and nearby Tavira is full of delightful bars, tavernas and restaurants. We WILL be back.close_quote

Having had Rupert cater for a special party, we were so impressed by his food that we have lunched and dined there on a number of occasions! Whilst we haven't stayed overnight (as we live in the nearby town of Tavira) we recommend Casa Rosada for the quality of food, service, accommodation and especially the ambience. This really is a 5 star B & B. close_quote

We have stayed here 3 times and have loved it every time. The owners are really friendly, make you feel at home and look after you fantastically well. The house is stylish and comfortable with a beautiful garden, and Rupert cooks lovely food. Eating in the garden, either breakfast in the morning or dinner at night, is just gorgeous and romantic. In fact it's by far the best food in the area so although there are other nice places to go, particularly the restaurants on the beach, we actually ate at Casa Rosada a lot of the time.
It's in a quiet little town and the beautiful beaches are a 10 min drive away. Another plus is that Spain is a 5 min drive so if you want to visit the somewhat livelier neighbouring Spanish town and have tapas or a drink in the square it's literally just over the border. close_quote
